Once again, do not let the meager paper plate fool you into thinking these bars are somehow lesser. These are delicious and pretty simple, though you’ll want to factor in some chill time.
This isn’t a difficult recipe and you start by making the brownie layer. I will say that I’ve never cooked butter and sugar in the raw for a recipe before, but it wasn’t hard; just added in a little time.
While the brownies were baking I started to mix together the cheesecake layer. Another easy step so nothing out of the ordinary here. Once the brownie layer is done you’ll increase the oven temperature, pour the cheesecake mixture over the brownie layer, and bake.
Once this is done you’ll need to let this chill for at least six hours or overnight. I made this in the morning and then let it sit in the fridge all day so it was right at 6 hours by the time we ate it. Before eating, you’ll want to make the whipped topping. Just being real here… I could have just eaten this chocolate whip cream. It was SO GOOD! I will probably find ways to use this chocolate whip cream recipe in other stuff because it was delicious. I completely forgot to dust the top with cocoa powder.
This was really good. Despite the paper plate, it looks really elegant. 10/10 for me and 100/100 for the chocolate whip cream!
